1863 Japanese Cat Monster Ukiyoe Color Seven Manifestations of Golden Flower
A rare, 19th century Japanese woodblock print of “Kinka shichi henge” (Seven Manifestations of the Golden Flower) is a ukiyo-e graphic novel about a cat monster. Nekomata can shape-shift into human form and are generally hostile to people.
