It discusses freemason lodges, songs, and reflections within an assortment of small works dedicated to Freemasonry in France during the 18^th-century. This book also dictates the origins of that branch of freemasonry.

Adonhiramite Freemasonry is loosely based on and taken from Jewish Scriptures and traditions which shed light on masonic legends. It is largely attributed to Saint-Victor because of this work and is named after Adonhiram, who first appears in the Book of Samuel in the Old Testament. Adonhiramite Freemasonry is often considered the ‘orthodox faith’ of Freemasonry. Adonhiramite Freemasons are essentially disciples of Hiram Abif, the architect of the Temple of Adonhiram and are subject to the twelve degrees associated with Adonhiramites. (Mackey).
