In addition to that work, he is best-known for his book ‘Scriptorum Ecclesiasticorum Historia Literaria’ – a literary history of church fathers and ecclesiastical authors including figures such as Justin Martyr, Tertullian, and Saint Ambrose.
This 1682 English fourth edition was published in London by Chiswel, entitled “Primitive Christianity”.
