Written by an unknown author, this work serves as a synonym thesaurus and a grammar directive, and provides countless phrases from classical authors such as Virgil, Homer, Lucan, Ovid, Claudian, and Martial. Early bibliographers attributed this work to Jacques Vaniere; however, this has since been confirmed to be false, as Vaniere was only a child when the earliest printings were available.
