“La Conference des Ordonnances Royaux” is a collection of all the royal ordinances from each king of France through the 16^th-century. Collected and edited by Pierre Guenois, this book contains the ordinances themselves, beginning with those from Philip II and Saint Louis IX, including Saint Louis’s “Pragmatic Sanction of 1269” which limited the papal influence over the Church of France.

Guenois included his own annotations, commentary, and even revisions along with those from Charondas le Caron. Altogether, an enormous tome of each of the iconic French royal ordinances through the year 1606.
