Thomas Aquinas was a 13^th-century Dominican monk known as one of the most important and influential church fathers and Catholic philosophers. His most important work was undoubtedly “Summa Theologica”, however, his minor writings such as “Quaestiones Quodlibetales” further proved his great philosophical mind. This work is a series of quodlibetic disputes that were held while he was Magister in Paris, seeking to solve problems – mainly that 13^th-century students could take an active role in their education.

This 1520 printing of Aquinas’s “Quodlibets” was published by Giunta and Calchographi in Lyon, printed in the style of post-Incunable master printers.
