- Coat of arms and motto of the Earls of Macclesfield. The date would suggest this bookplate belonged to Thomas Augustus Wolstenholme Parker, 6th Earl of Macclesfield (1811–1896). The seat of the earldom, Shirburn Castle, was reputed to have two early 18th-century libraries (North and South) which housed a grand collection of valuable paintings, sculptures, and other artifacts, such as the Shirburn Ballads manuscript and the Macclesfield Psalter.
