Joannis Bolognetti was a 16^th-century Italian lawyer and jurist. He published a few works on law including ‘Code of Repetitions’, or ‘Clarissimi Iureconsulti’. This work was designed for teaching Italian law students at the University of Naples. Bolognetti became an important figure in the development of humanistic law in the 16^th-century, seeking to clarify many of the confusions regarding law. He is known to have said that ‘such a variety of opinions [on law] created a huge confusion in the meaning of the law.’ (Plessis)
