1570 Lactantius 1ed Divine Institutes Apologetics Pagan FLAT EARTH Antwerp
Lactantius was a 3rd-century early Christian author who is remembered primarily for his work ‘Institutionum Divinae’, an important treatise written to defend Christian truths against pagans. Not only was the content important to Christian apologists, the style in which it was written gives a proper example of 4th-century Christian thought. While this work appears to be just a Christian apology, it also includes elements of civil law, including Lactantius’s condemning the round earth theory, a view that Copernicus would refute in his 16th-century works.
This 1570 edition is considerably rare!
