Torquato Tasso was a 16^th-century Italian poet most-known for his epic poem ‘Jerusalem Delivered’. However, Tasso was popular for more than just ‘Jerusalem.’ He wrote a collection of dialogues (“Dialoghi”) in which he focused on issues of virtue and justice, nobility, beauty, and even courtly love.

This 1587 edition of Tasso’s “Dialoghi” was published before the entirety of the dialogues were complete. In fact, numerous other dialogues were published following the release of this particular issue. This edition includes the following dialogues:
