Originally written in 1575, Torquato Tasso’s famous “Jerusalem Delivered” tells a mythical story of the First Crusade complete with Christian Knights battling Muslim warriors. This rare 1624 English edition was translated by Edward Fairfax, published in London, and published with the title ‘Godfrey of Boulogne’ named after the 11^th-century French crusader and title central figure of Tasso’s tale.
