More commonly known as Siege of Bois-le Duc, this battle was the turning point for the English and Dutch as they were able to secure a stronghold in the city of s’Hertogenbosch, a city in which Spain had held for 50 years.

 

Author Daniel Heinsius describes not only the major points in the battle, but also casualties and aftermath of the battle. Worth noting, Heinsius offers detailed descriptions of various forts involved in the battle including Fort Isabella and Fort Anthony, both of which fell in the battle.
