1643 History of Czech Republic BOHEMIA Prague Tolerance ELZEVIR Pavel Stransky
A very rare and mysterious history of the Czech (Bohemian) Republic by Pavel Stransky. Written in Latin, this second edition includes an engraved title page that was not included in the original 1634 Elzevir edition. The book was written in a spirit of evoking tolerance toward the Czech Republic – a republic itself that was tolerant of all things foreign. But it wasn’t translated into languages other than Latin until the 18th-century.
