Marc Vulson de la Colombiere was a 17^th-century French historian whose “Palace of the Curious” is a survey on divination. Vulson, a member of the French royal court, wrote on a variety of occult topics including prophecy and dream interpretation, and it was with “Palais des Curieux” that he sought to answer many of the questions posed by ancient civilizations about dreams, night terrors, and visions.

Vulson’s dream interpretation classifies dreams through the use of symbols and hidden meaning by categorizing dreams as celestial, elemental, from hell, atmospheric, prophetic, as well as others.
