Van Hoorn, an Augustinian preacher, was well-known for his sermons on the Virgin Mary and the Immaculate Conception which appear throughout this collection of sermons. This 1660 edition of 26 sermons focuses primarily on Mariology, Mary’s sons Jesus and John, and her husband Joseph, as well as two panegyric sermons.
