An incredible rare 17^th-century Roman Catholic Missal. This work, edited by Daniel de Cigogne, is a beautiful example of Catholic liturgy for Holy Week. This 1673 edition was translated into French by Marolles, which would become an important translation for Catholic Missals moving into the 18^th-century.

Michel de Marolles’s translations were extensive and quite precise. In addition to his liturgical texts, he translated classics such as Ovid, Virgil, Horace, Juvenal, and other Greek and Latin classics into French.
