This 1673 edition was translated into French by Marolles, which would become an important translation for Catholic Missals moving into the 18th-century.
Michel de Marolles’s translations were extensive and quite precise. In addition to his liturgical texts, he translated classics such as Ovid, Virgil, Horace, Juvenal, and other Greek and Latin classics into French.
