        • He was also Sheriff of Devon 1689–1690 and Mayor of Exeter 1689–1690.
        • He was also the owner of the esteemed historic estate, Great Fulford.
        • The grade I listed manor house, known as “Great Fulford House” is in the parish of Dunsford, Devon and is the most ancient in the county.
        • Contributing to the fame of the estate is the fact that Fulford’s descendants still reside there. Very few families of ancient recorded origin are still resident at their original seat.
