Edward Burrough was a 17th-century Quaker preacher most remembered for his debates with John Bunyan and for his deliberate breaking of the Quaker Act which landed him in prison. His impact on the Quaker community was quite vast – traveling extensively throughout England preaching and converting people to the Society of Friends.
