Agnès d’Aguillenqui was a 17^th-century French mystic known for her commitment to the Capuchin order. Her commitment grew so great that in brought her to extreme mortification to the point where her fellow nuns had to step in for her own safety. Her faith, according to author Marc de Bauduen, was contemplative and passive seeking personal mystical experiences with God rather than portraying her faith to the world.
