Giovanni da San Facondo was a 15th-century Spanish Augustinian monk who served the bishops of Burgos. More than two centuries after his death, Facond was made a saint by Pope Alexander VIII. Little is remembered about the life of Facond; however, author Orazio Quaranta published one of the only 17th-century accounts of Facond’s life. Interestingly, this book was published prior to Facond’s canonization.
