Hale, known mostly for his political treatises, law books, and work as a jurist, wrote a rare treatise on natural law, which discusses gravity, behavior of water, and other mysteries of the universe. Throughout the work, Hale notes various phenomena, but continually gives credit to ‘The Great Creator” noting that God is over the unknowns of the natural world. Other important topics discussed in this treatise include condensation and morning dew, measuring alcohol (wine and brandy), and effects of altitude change on fluids.
