Saint Meinrad of Einsiedeln was a 9^th-century Benedictine monk who was known for his asceticism and his giving to the poor. In the 17^th-century, a thorough and comprehensive survey of Meinrad’s life was published – a work which covers his theology and descriptions of his glorious visions. Interestingly, prior to the life of Meinrad, it includes a rather extensive genealogy of the abbots and other monastics from the famous Einsiedeln Monastery, which was founded by Saint Meinrad.

This 1681 edition was published at the famed Benedictine monastery in Einsiedeln.
