This rare 17^th-century edition of Lucretius’s only work ‘Nature of Things’ was edited and translated by Thomas Creech. It is because of Creech’s 1682 translation of this work that he was given a fellowship at Oxford. The success of his first attempt at Lucretius induced him to take work on an edition that would become massively popular throughout the English-speaking world.
