Of Bion’s surviving works, his “Adonis” is the most well-known, fragments of which are included in Hilaire-Bernard de Longepierre’s 1686 translation of the works of Bion and Moschus. “Idylls of Bion & Moschus” was published in Paris and includes both the original Greek text and the 17th-century French translation – a highly sought after and desirable example of ancient Greek poetry.
