This 1699 first edition of Curson’s “Compendium” includes an entire section on the English plantations in America, Asia, and Africa in which he thoroughly describes American colonies of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and Carolina. Curson even describes the influence of Native American Indians on the English colonies!
