1779 Basel Chronicle Switzerland 1ed Europe History Bruckner Thurneysen 1600-20
The Basel Chronicle was periodical that covered important world events, especially those pertinent to the German-Speaking world. Issues of ‘der Chronick’ were published as early as the 1470s and were prevalent through the 18th-century. In the 18th-century chronicler Daniel Bruckner published a four-book series entitled ‘Fortführung der Basel-Chronick’ with each book covering a 10 year span from 1580 to 1620. Bruckner intended it to be, as the title suggests, a continuation of the earlier issues of the Basel Chronicle.
This 1779 edition was a printing of the years 1600 to 1620, in two separate tomes bound as one.
