Alongside Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frederic Handel was one of the two greatest Baroque music composers. Best known for his ‘Messiah’, Handel was responsible for hundreds of pieces of music, many of which were famous operas. Two such operas were ‘Solomon’ and ‘Israel in Egypt’. This particular edition of these two operas were printed in a piano reduction by John Clarke.
Note on dating: According to the British Museum Catalogue, publisher Button, Whitaker and Beadnell was an active music publisher from 1815-1830.
