Jean Duplessis-Bertaux was a famous late 18th-century French painter best-known for his paintings of scenes and portraits from the French Revolution. Many of these paintings were published in the work ‘Tableaux Historiques de la Revolution Francaise’, an enormous folio of the paintings of Duplessis-Bertaux.
