Henry Northrop’s “Indian Horrors” is a supremely biased account of warfare and relationships between Native American Indian tribes and the ‘White’ settlers from the early 17^th-century through the end of the 19^th-century. The book appears to have been published shortly after the Battle (or massacre) of Wounded Knee. There is commentary and details on torture, murders, scalping, rape, battles, massacres, and more. Northrop also includes ideas on how to “civilize the savages” and change them of their customs, culture, and military issues.
