Robert Falcon Scott was a famed British explorer who is most famous for his early 20^th-century expeditions to Antarctica. The second expedition, also known as the Terra Nova Expedition, proved to be a highly important journey even though Scott died before the end. On this excursion, Scott and his crew discovered fossils of plants on Antarctica, seemingly proving that parts of Antarctica were joined to other continents.

This 1914 first edition of Charles Turley’s “Voyages of Captain Scott” is an important account of Scott’s Antarctic voyages. Much of this book was based on Scott’s own notes from both the Discovery expedition and the Terra Nova expedition. It also contains truly impressive full and double-page engravings throughout.
